hanako, a producer of beauty products, needed a modern brand identity that was able to easily convey their values and heritage. this meant incorporating the japanese background of the company as well as the close relation to and focus on natural ingredients and japanese beauty rituals.‍ by using the iconic circle in the middle of the japanese flag as a main design element, the heritage is instantly recognizable.
